How To Pamper Your Skin This Valentine's Day

Your skin protects you, keeps you whole, and stays with you through rain or shine and in sickness and in health.

This Valentine’s Day, why not show some appreciation to your skin? All you need is your skin and the right products.

While a day at the spa is an excellent way to pamper yourself, it’s easy to treat your skin without setting foot out of your home.

If you need inspiration, here’s how to pamper your skin on the day of love (and beyond!)

Soothe Your Skin With Rosewater

A great way to treat your skin is to add rose water to your daily regime. Not only is rosewater hydrating, but it also strengthens the skin and regenerates tissues for a healthy, lovely glow on Valentine’s Day. Not to mention rosewater smells heavenly.

Either spritz pure rose water over your complexion twice a day to refresh the skin or choose a high-quality product containing the ingredient to use.

We love the BABORCleansing Rose Toning Lotion. The solution contains precious rose oils to pamper and condition the skin for a beautiful, radiant glow. The product doesn’t contain alcohol and calms and moisturizes the skin.

Use rosewater after cleansing in the morning or evening. Or use it as a skin freshener any time of the day for a quick pick-me-up.

Simply apply several pumps to a wet cotton pad and wipe across your face, neck, and décolleté.

Treat Your Complexion to a Luxurious Mask

When it comes to pampering yourself (and your skin), one of the best ways to do so is with a facial mask.

Lotions and potions can help hydrate and nourish the skin, but intensive masks deliver even more rejuvenating benefits.

This Valentine’s Day, pick out a facial mask to address any skincare concerns you may have. Even better, why not make it a regular part of your self-care routine?

There are plenty of different types of masks available, whether your skin suffers from acne, dryness, or dullness.

One of our favorites is the Tuel DetoxClay Mask. Take your skin to rehab and purge your pores with this deep-cleaning mask and spot treatment in one.

Kaolin clay and sulphur work together to reduce oil and sebum while treating blemishes caused by bacteria. Zinc oxide encourages healing while aloe and vitamin E soothe and condition the skin.

Stubborn, unwanted blemishes are dried out and the skin becomes calmer.

To use, apply a generous amount of product to the face and neck. Leave on for 10 minutes and relax while the mask works its magic. Then, rinse with warm water.

For the best results, use one to two times a week.

Plan a Long, Warm Soak

There’s nothing like slipping into a warm bath and relaxing under the bubbles – bliss. While it often feels like we don’t have enough time to lie and soak in the tub, there are plenty of benefits for our skin and mental health.

Baths are stress-relieving and comforting – in many cases, we feel much better when we hop out of the basin.

Don’t forget to add your favorite bath salts, bomb, or oils when you take your soak this Valentine’s Day. If you choose the right products, your skin will feel soft, pampered, and reinvigorated after your soak. Enjoy!

Give Your Skin a Massage

There’s nothing quite like a relaxing facial or body massage. When you apply your moisturizer in the morning or evening, be sure to give your skin a little rub. This will promote blood circulation, contributing to healthier, plumper skin.

Facial massages aren’t just beneficial to help you relax. The motions are also incredibly good for your complexion. The blood circulation can have both positive short and long-term effects, including decongesting oily areas, reducing the appearance of fine lines, and maximizing the absorption and benefits of other skincare solutions you’re using.

To replicate the spa-like body massage at home, try this super-easy at-home massage technique.

Apply body creams, lotions, or oils in the direction of the lymph, which means from the ankle upward. Give yourself a gentle massage in upwards and circular motions, as the lymphatic system is directly under your skin.

If you apply a product this way, you enhance the effect of the product, plus you benefit from the detoxifying effects of a lymph massage. Win-win!
